This inspirational 4-week (8-hour) course is taught by burlesque expert Jo King. You will learn about characterisation, props, show-girl glamour, story-lines, gimmicks, and the power of physical theatre. You will also learn a variety of traditional burlesque dance moves incorporating the all important “tease factor”.
Throughout this course there is a strong emphasis on body confidence!
As seen on BBC3 in The Real Dirty Dancing, Jo King the “Uber-Doyenne of Burlesque” (Time Out) created Burlesque Buzz especially for every woman who wants a fun and fascinating way to; learn a highly fashionable art-form, unleash her showgirl diva or become a professional performer.
Please be aware that Jo is leaving the country in September 2011 and will only be back occasionally to teach master-classes. We are expecting places to sell quickly, as these will be the last Burlesque Buzz courses taught by Jo King.
Courses will start on the following dates: 7th June and 5th July.
Classes are from 8 pm-10pm at Danceworks, London W1 (off Oxford Street).
